Born in Senegal and based in Canada, Élage Diouf is a singer, songwriter, percussionist and captivating live performer whose music bridges Africa and the world. Rooted in his Senegalese heritage and enriched by years of international collaborations, his sound blends Afro-pop, world music, blues, folk and the vibrant rhythms of asiko, creating an uplifting and deeply human musical experience.

Singing primarily in Wolof, his native language, Élage transcends linguistic boundaries with songs that celebrate connection, resilience and joy. After moving to Canada in 1996, Élage quickly established himself as one of the country's leading world music artists. His debut solo album, Aksil ("Welcome" in Wolof), received widespread critical acclaim, earning both the JUNO Award for World Music Album of the Year and the Félix Award from ADISQ, two of Canada's most prestigious music honours.

His second album, Melokáane ("Reflection"), further expanded his musical vision through collaborations with acclaimed artists including Johnny Reid and Jordan Officer, receiving additional nominations at both the ADISQ Awards and the Canadian Folk Music Awards.

Before launching his solo career, Élage became widely known through collaborations with some of Canada's most respected artists, including André "Dédé" Fortin and Les Colocs, with whom he co-wrote the award-winning song Get Out of It / Tassez-vous de d'là, recipient of the SOCAN Echo Songwriting Award.

His international career has also included over 200 performances as a featured artist in Cirque du Soleil's Delirium world tour, as well as extensive touring alongside multi-platinum artist Johnny Reid.
